In the simplest of terms,  females pay less for insurance than males because they have fewer accidents.  No matter what current folklore suggests about the driving abilities of the female population,  statistics show that they are not going to have as many claims against their policies.

Statistics also show that when they do file claims they will be much lower than the males of the same age.  So until the statistics show otherwise,  you will continue to pay higher rates than your sister.

When it comes time for the rite of passage to move into the area of a licensed driver the State of Arizona has a lot to say about it.

Hi Paul,

Most companies will give you a discount for taking a refresher driving course.  It is a classroom only and designed to update the student in current law and changes in car safety features.

You may also be eligible for insurance discounts if your car is equipped with the latest safety devices such as side air bags.  Keep current on what is being introduced to make your car safer and when possible have them on the car that you are insuring.

It will pay off in the long run whether or not you are involved in an accident.

Why do I have to pay more for Arizona Auto Insurance just because I am under 21?

Here is your answer.

Auto Insurance companies charge based upon the projected risk.  In other words what are the odds that a person of your sex and age will be involved in an accident that will result in a claim against them.

Over and over the statistics have shown that the younger a driver the more likely hood there will be of having an accident.  By the time you reach 25 your likelihood of having an accident will average out with other drivers until you reach the age of 55.

3.  Increase the Deductible on your vehicle and by doing so lower your premium.

Check the levels with your provider first to see what you could save then select which one you can afford to live with. If you are using a lending company to finance your car you will need physical damage coverage in Arizona.
